Pink Passion - Hot Pink Smokey Eye

Apparently this weekend, I so much wanted to try a bridal look but due to hectic schedule and incoming guest,  had to put it on the back burner.  Bridal make up requires lot of time ,  maybe will do it later when I have enough time.

So this weekend,  keeping summers in mind,  went in for a pop of color. Hot Pink Smokey Eyes. This look is all about putting your hair up and getting into the fun element. Since hot pink is too bright a color I thought of balancing it with black eye shadow on the outer edge of the eye and just dragging a little into the crease.  It was fun to work on this look. You require only three eye shadows to get this look, Hot pink, Black and Off white....boom ! and your done :))

This look I have done on Farah (my younger sister), so here's a before and after picture, and you can figure out the huge difference make up can create in transforming you into some diva. We were running short of time hence randomly did the hair minus the accessories. You can wear a long neck piece complimenting the outfit with a light dangling earrings,  a bracelet in hand and you are ready to go.

The Heretic Queen

Currently reading "The Heretic Queen" by Michelle Moran. Love the way she writes, it feels as if you are a part of the whole story.

I am quiet fascinated with the history of Eygpt. It's interesting to know the facts, in the olden era how queens and princess use to live their lives. Their way of dressing, the way they use to carry themselves, their attitude, tantrums and so on..... and then it makes me imagine if I would have been princess how would life be, living in that era (funny isn't it... well that's my imagination :)) I can think of all crazy things he he he.

I just love this book, have read it earlier, reading it again. If you love reading historic fiction then I would highly recommend this book. Trust me you would love it too. The history, politics and the story itself keeps you engrossed and wanting for more. At the end, you know lot of things written are true and rest of course is fiction.

MAC Lipsticks - Ruby Woo & Chili

MAC is one store, where most of us girls behave like kids (at least i do). Be it their lipsticks or eye shadows, we want to try everything and want everything, deciding which ones to go for,  is really difficult  since our mind is in so many products. Good pigmentation and high on quality , but heavy on pocket too.

On my recent visit to MAC, I picked up two beautiful shades of lipstick. Ruby Woo and Chili, Both are gorgeous and unique shades. Loved it !!!

Sunkissed Holiday Look

Shortly!  I plan to take a small break and go on a vacation, forgetting about the routine life,  home, office, work, responsibilities etc. I am very much in need of a break and can't wait to start . Keeping the holiday mood in mind, I have indulged in some warm colors and named my current make up look as " Sunkissed Holiday Look".

Here's a look created by using my latest buy from BH Cosmetics - 2 Edition Palette (will review it soon). Oh ! I love this palette. It has a mix of colors in different finish - Shimmery, Satin and Matte. Well ! I guess that's all you need in a eye shadow palette to churn up different make-up looks.

Today's make-up look can be easily carried out during the day time as well as night time. It's neither too loud and nor too sober. Will go on most of the outfit, so you don't have to think much.

I have not put a before picture in this post, as in my earlier look which is "Bright Eyes & Bold Lips" had a picture before make up and I haven't gone thru much changes since then. I will update my before make-up look in every two months.

I am not wearing any falsies here, you can add false lashes to build up the look further........finally lets check the look ........we been talking about.

Three new product of the week - Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Toner / Lululunn Face Mask / Brush Holder

Another three product post. Today I am going to review Mario Badescu Cucumber Toner from my Sephora haul, Lululunn Face Pack from Japan and my New Brush Holder.

If you remember in my earlier post of empties, had mentioned that I was using Biotique Cucumber Toner, which got over, currently I  am using Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion.

Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion

What I like about this product is, it quickly absorbs in the skin without making it oily or greasy. From past couple of days I am using this toner and  loving it. There is a small tube like lid attachment on the cap, which makes it easier to get the product on the cotton pad without any wastage. Sorry ! I should have clicked a picture of the cap but with all the products to be clicked, I missed it out.

Though the packaging is nothing flashy or classy but I am ok with it as long as it gives me good end result.  Mario Badescu has some very good skin care products at a much affordable price, though some of their products are pricey too......their products range from,  Cleanser, Toner, Face Mask, Night and Day on. They also has some very good products for men. You can check the below website for more details on their product.  The Toner comes in three different sizes and the prizes are mentioned below accordingly. You get this in Sephora also but their website does not show this product. (which is strange)

Benefits: Refreshing, disinfecting and deep cleaning astringent that is effective in drying up exisiting acne and blemishes while preventing new eruptions. Sulphur and soothing Cucumber based, acne fighting formula that is non-drying and non-irritating.

Ingredients :  Deionized Water (Aqua), Isopropyl Alcohol, Sodium Sulphate, Cucumber (Cucumis Sativas) Extract, Nonoxynol-9.

Price :  $ 15 for 8 oz
         :  $ 26 for 16 oz
         :  $ 45 for 32 oz

SP Rating : 4/5

Lululunn Face Mask

These mask were picked up by my better half on his recent visit to Japan.  Everything on the pack is written in Japanese which makes it difficult to understand,  except on the front there are few minimal details mentioned in English . These mask comes in different variety for normal, oily and dry skin tone. There are seven sheets in one packet. You have to be very careful while opening the mask, as its delicate and might tear off if not handled carefully. It has a proper opening for eye sockets and lips. Place it over your face and leave it for 15 minutes before removing it and washing your face with the normal water. Leaves your skin soft and supple. I am still in the initial period of using this mask so far its good and I haven't got any eruption or irritation.

SP Rating : 3/5
My New Brush Holder

I picked this up from a local shop near my house at Lokhandwala. I really liked it because of the shell work on it which makes it a good decorative piece to be kept on the table, at the same time holding all my make up brushes in place.  Loved it !!!

Price : Rs. 450/-

SP Rating : 5/5

It's easy for me to do three product post specially when there are too many things to review and less time to draft individual post. Hope you guys find this post enough informative. Any question.... then shoot and I will answer it.

Hope you guys had a great weekend, mine was as usual busy. We had a friend come in from Muscat on Saturday (he was there in Mumbai just for a day) and we really had a great time chit chatting and some good food before dropping him to the airport in the evening.

This weekend I tried out a new recipe of "Moong Masala" (Coming soon on the blog) along with Farah's delicious recipe of Paneer Tikka Masala which turned out great, and yes a make up look too, coming up soon.

Take care and have a lovely day ahead.

Bright Eyes Bold Lips - Make Up Look

Its Tuesday .... and I hope you guys had a great and colorful weekend :)

Tuesday I usually post a make-up look, so today is no exception. I had created a look over the weekend from a very new palette from BH Cosmetics which I happen to order from their website and received 15 days back. Was busy with the other things so did not get time to try . It's called "That's Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette" (Review coming up shortly).

This weekend was very busy, being Holi my maids took off and I was extremely busy with house work, cooking, cleaning, guest  etc. Still manage to try a quick look (need a pat on my shoulder for accommodating so much....winking !!).

Coming to the look, this time I have kept the eyes simple, bright and lips bold. You can also wear more sober lipstick in peachy orange or brown family, if you dont want to go for bold colors.

This look does not take much time, if you dont have much time to spare and want a quick bright vibrant look which is appealing then I recommend this look.

Recent Beauty Empties

Doing Empties Post is little odd, it means collecting all the trash to be photographed. There are many products that get exhausted earlier and you just store the trash because you want to do a  collective picture.

Many a times, it so happen that when you purchase the product you are totally in love with it but as you are midway you start having second thoughts about it. That's why I really like empties post as it gives you a  very sincere and genuine opinion of the product. I am sure you will agree with me on this.

Lets take a peek on all the empties....

Lets start from right to left..

1) Versace Bright Crystal Perfume : It a lovely mild and sensual fragrance. I picked up this bottle when I was in Dubai last to last time. The bottle is cute and I seriously dont feel like throwing it away. It's an amazing perfume for day wear. Though I liked this perfume but wont be picking it up soon as on my recent visit to Dubai, I have picked up many perfumes from different brand. So will wait till all those gets exhausted.

2) Figaro Olive Oil - My holy grail product, cannot picture my life without it . Savior ! for my well nourished and hydrated skin. I use this product after my shower in the evening by mixing it with my body moisturizer. This was a secret shared by one of my best friend ever (who is no more now but all her beauty secret will remain with me... RIP). I miss her a lot !

First Anniversay of Blogging - Giveaway !

Hello Everybody !

It going to be my first anniversary of blogging in April 2014.  To celebrate the success and thank all my readers I have planned a special giveaway.

First ! I would sincerely like to thank all my readers, who have been there with me since the time I have started this blog and spending their precious time and lending me support.  A big thank you to all the other readers who kept adding and growing the numbers  (It really  feels nice).  Specially a big thank you to all of you,  who have been making that extra effort and giving their important feedback and comments.

OOTD - Bright Green & Yellow

Today I thought of doing a OOTD post (Outfit of the day). It's March and heat is slowly catching on. Summer's are really bad in Mumbai... just imagine those packed trains and buses, the challenge to reach office and by the time you reach office, you are completely drenched in sweat.

Keeping summers in mind, my recent purchase was a bright lime green color  kurti which I teamed up with bright yellow legging and dupatta.  Quiet like the color combination and this is exactly what I need in summers which would make me look fresh and bright.

Very Berry Glam Make-up Look

As promised, I happen to try out a look this weekend with Faces Glitter Stack. It was fun doing this look. My mom was sleeping in the bedroom and we did not want to disturb her, hence like a two small kids we sneaked out of the bedroom with my huge vanity case, my brushes and other stuff that was required. (felt nostalgic just like childhood times)

Did not had any specific color in mind to start with except the pink glitter in the stack, that, I was sure of. When using glitter on eyes, the color stands out and all the attention is on eyes, so choose the color combination wisely. Something which would compliment your skin tone and not make you look like some made up doll.

This look you can carry out to any party or function and would go well with Indian and western outfit. Here in this look I have used natural lashes, if you want you can use more thick lashes to draw more attention to your eyes.

I really loved this look, you need to blend  well to get the smooth transition of color. I have named it " Very Berry Glam Look" as it reminds me of berries. Lets get the eyes rolling because you have all the reason to flaunt it.

It Does Not Have To Be Expensive To Look Beautiful

Saturday evening was fabulous, with movie, shopping and then dinner. Had a great time. Saturday evening I wore my latest pick which is a floor length gown and got loads of compliments for it. Lot of them kept guessing whether it is from Zara , Vero Moda and so on.

When I saw this gown, I fell in love with it and decided to pick it up. You can wear this sleeveless also.... looks dam sexy. Since I don't wear sleeveless have worn a long sleeves black T-shirt inside. It has got a zipper on the side for the comfortable wear and a belt behind to give a nice figure hugging look and feel to it without being too tight. Its a comfortable wear.
