Lip Combo : Maybelline Lipstick And Lakme Lip Liner

Every time I review a lipstick, it makes me realize that I have so many of them and at least for some time , should ban purchasing one.... that.... is a confession of a shopaholic :).  Girls ! have you seen this movie "Confession of a Shopaholic" ??? if not then I recommend do watch it. Its hilarious :)

Today I am going to review a beautiful shade from Maybelline which is staple lipstick in my vanity. I have already exhausted two and this is my third buy. I love it so much !!!. Along with it, to define my lips is a gorgeous shade of Lakme Lip Liner in Brick Rose from their 9 to 5 range.

Revealed ! Whats in the Box

Few days back I had asked all my readers to guess whats in the box. I love window shopping.  In my recent window shopping I happened to pick up few cosmetics from Colorbar. They have some amazing eye pencils in vibrant color (review coming up shortly). On the spur i also happen to pick up Maybelline Cheeky glow Blush in Fresh Coral. So lets check out !!!

I wanted to buy a matte peach coral shade but most of the brand have blush with glitter which does not go too well on me as I have a porey skin.

My Experience with the Maybelline Dream Matte Pressed Powder

 I had heard good reviews for Maybelline’s new “Dream Touch” range, so thought why not give it a try.

This is a cheap alternative for Mac's Blot Powder. This is a pretty powder that is great for setting foundation and touch up's. I love that it does not create a haze of powdery smoke when i sweep my brush against it. The powder is finely milled and pressed, you can never over apply and look cakey. It does not clog your pores or break out which is amazing for someone like me. 

The packaging is very small and handy. When you slide the product on the side it has a mirror and a small makeup pad, Thou i prefer using a brush for the application. One thing that i did not liked about the packaging is the placement of the mirror which is little unusual for the compact and little inconvenient.

Final Verdict

Maybelline Dream Matte Pressed Powder is yet another winner from the house of Maybelline. It works really well for me. Its smooth, soft and blends extremely well. Dusky girls might struggle to get their shade since the shade card has limited options.

Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lip Gloss

 

Yet another window shopping spree at the Maybelline counter, I spotted this amazing lip glosses in such gorgeous colors that I could not resist myself and thought of trying out the colors, thou let me tell you I had no intention of picking it up (remember I was just window shopping :)). 

I was shown all the colors on the stand and believe me all the shades were just too beautiful and tempted me so much that I happen to pick up two shades, Thou I felt like picking up all colors (Realizing too much greed is not good for the pocket :)), with heavy heart I just picked up two colors One in Plum Luster 120 and the other one was One Shine Day 030.

First coming to the packaging – its simple transparent packaging with metallic silver cap, with a thin plastic sheet covered on the body which has all the detailed description. 

Shades: Maybelline Color sensational High Shine Lip Gloss comes in 12 arresting shades which is difficult to choose from as you will fall in love with almost all the shades.  

Texture: The texture is light in weight and the color is quiet pigmented as compared to earlier Maybelline lip glosses that I happen to use; the applicator wand is good, easy to apply and smoothly glides on without any hiccups. The color is rich with high shine.

Maybelline Color sensational High Shine Lip Gloss comes in the range of 12 gorgeous colors. You might get confused which ones to go for as all the colors are very tempting. Color and shine of the gloss is rich and pigmented. The overall product is good but I just wish it was more long lasting.

My take on this product...

A perfect product for someone who likes a bit of cover-up but doesn't want a cake-like mask on the face, Maybelline BB cream gives you the best result possible. If you are someone, who has very little time to get ready and makeup is the last thing which comes in your mind then this is a real life saver. It is extremely easy to blend, perfect for everyday wear and even works well on oily skin too. It gives you a nice dewy glow. Pick it up and you won't regret it.
