Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Had heard a lot about Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder. It's a hit among the cosmetic lovers and needs no introduction. I have a normal to combination skin, and have tried my share of powders for setting my foundation which would keep my T zone shine in check. Earlier I was using a Maybelline Matte Pressed Powder and wanted to try this one, so on my recent trip to Khar Beauty center picked one as per my skin tone which is 009 shade in Amber.

My take on the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Packaging is neat and simple. It comes in a round plastic pan packaging with a transparent lid on which the brand name is engraved on the top. The quantity is good for the price and quiet affordable. It does not come with a mirror, I was told that earlier the applicator sponge was not there with the compact but now they give it separately, though i don't find it much of a use as i apply the compact with the brush.  The texture is smooth and light weight ,blends well over your foundation and does not look cakey or heavy.

This powder is amazing for the price it comes in.  Earlier the powder was much cheaper than what it is priced now. The previous price was INR 195/- because of it's high demand and looking at the popularity Rimmel has hiked the price.

It matches my skin tone perfectly, combats my shine,  blends effortlessly and give a superb finish.  You can choose from the wide range of color as per your skin tone.  It provides sheer to medium coverage and works best as a foundation setting powder.  It has a lovely soft satin feel.  Rimmel London claims that this powder helps to stay matte for 5 hours which i don't agree on as it gives you a matte effect, for as good as 3 hours, at least on my combination skin.  You need to touch up again after 3-4 hours, having said that I would still recommend this product mainly because of its price tag for the quantity you are getting and this product is a good pick for setting foundation.

Good about the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Smooth Satin Texture
Blends Effortlessly
Does not look cakey
Economically Priced
Soft Matte Finish
No side effect on Acne Prone Skin

Bad about the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder

The cover of the pan is loose fit and would not be convenient while travelling as it might come out.
No mirror

SP Rating : 4/5

Final Verdict

It's a must have product. Good for setting foundation and no side effect on acne prone skin. Affordable and gives a nice soft matte finish. I would highly recommend this product.

I had a lovely weekend with my sisters, one who had come down from Dubai with her family and another one from Mumbai with her two naughty kids (one son and one daughter). My Dubai sister has two adorable daughters. Combine all four and its house on fire. It was hectic but we had a great time and it was fun.

That's all for now........... good night........... and we meet again with another product review.  Hope you guys had a great weekend too.
