Huda Beauty Palette - Rose Gold Edition

The debut palette of beauty guru and entrepreneur Huda Kattan was launched,  it created a huge buzz and hype in the market.  Everybody wanted to lay their hands on this palette which made it go out of stock for some time before it was available again.

The palette boast of highly pigmented mattes, chrome pressed pearls and 3D metal shades in Rose Gold Edition. One of a kind and a unique combination made it even more tempting for the buyers specially for Indian market where these shades were apt for the Brides.

My visit to Dubai gave me an easy access to buy this palette thus skipping the process of online ordering. This topped my bucket list in shopping and very soon it was the part of my make up kit.

My Opinion About Huda Beauty Rose Gold Textured Palette

Purchased this palette from Sephora Dubai hence the product is genuine and not duplicate that I was sure off. 

The palette comes in a cardboard packaging which does not feel like a quality packaging to me. Can be easily dented ,scratched and damaged. The thin see through layer on the top does not help either, it looks ok to me for the price that they are charging. Packaging could have been much better. On the other hand we are so used to having eyeshadow palettes in a plastic box which is more strong and sturdy as comparable to the cardboard packaging that in comparison we find this one not so acceptable. 

There are eighteen eye shadow in this palette with a mix of matte and metallic shades, though all the colors are not so pigment and true as claimed.  Few metallic shades are a disappointment as they don't show off much even when applied with a finger as instructed. They are chunkier and hence don't blend well, makes it apt for a fall out.  They tend to crease and make the lid look wrinkled.  For more prominent application and color payoff,  i highly recommend a base below these shadows. 

The mattes too have shortfalls, not all but one or two shades. The matte shadows also need a base below for a more dense color which tends to fade out after 5-6 hours.  Few shades are chalky, dry and are not so easy to blend. 

Few things that I like about this palette is the color selection of the shades. Many on urge bought this palette looking at the hype and colors to be met with a disappointment after using it.   Had it been true to what this brand claimed then this palette sure would have done wonders creating versatile and many different looks. 

I wont go to describe each and every color in this palette but looking at the overall picture this palette surely sucks. For the price it comes at least a decent quality and color payoff is accepted to meet the required standard of a niche palette. Though I love the color selection of this palette, few of the colors in palette I truly love like Henna, Maneater, Moondust, Coco to name few.  All the hype and of course the price makes it look like a quality and branded product but otherwise it has a different story to tell.

Final Verdict 

Don't waste money on this palette when you can buy many other branded palette for the same price which sure delivers lot then claimed . Tough few color in the palette I really like. Wish this would have been more pigmented and less fall out. Worth a miss.
