Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation - Review

Today I break my sabbatical after a long long time. Sometime in life there are other priorities which needs more focus and attention. Motherhood had kept me busy and on my toes but I have enjoyed each and every moment of it. 

My little munchkin has started school, he is into playgroup. Now I have the liberty of few hours to myself . There were many readers who kept asking me when I am going back to blogging. First ! I would like to thank all my readers who patiently waited for me to come back. 

Coming to today's review ...

Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation had some great reviews and everyone was talking about it. It topped my bucket list. On my recent visit to Dubai Sephora , tried few of their shades before I was convinced about the shade which suited me the best. When  am investing into high end foundation, I always prefer to check the shade on my face before purchasing it, as these foundation don't come cheap. 

Packaging 

It comes in a simple black box. The bottle inside is a plastic one with a black square cap and a pump which makes it easier to use. I loved the shaded effect on the bottle which is very impressive. Even by mistake if you happen to drop the bottle you don't have to loose your sleep of breaking the bottle and loosing the content which is a very thoughtful. To me the packaging is simple yet classy. 

Texture 

The texture of the foundation is little thick but it blends without any hiccups, but if you apply moisturizer before applying the foundation it blends beautifully. 

Shades : 30 different shades available. I chose Custard shade as per my skin tone

For full-coverage:

For extra wearability, first apply the Complexion Perfection Pre-Makeup Base.

Using a dime-sized amount or less, dip the Huda Beauty Buff & Blend synthetic brush in to the foundation and apply to skin using circular and dabbing motions.

For medium-coverage:

Combine the Complexion Perfection Pre-Makeup Base (or your fav moisturizer) with the #FauxFilter Foundation and using the Huda Beauty Buff & Blend synthetic brush, or a damp beauty sponge, blend on the skin for a smooth, dewy finish.

My Take on Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation  

Have been using many high end foundations, after hearing the review of Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation I could not wait to use this one. 

My first impression while applying this foundation was that it has got a fragrance which is obvious. Though it fades away after some time,  as you move on to the other products and does not irritate. It glides on smoothly and blends seamlessly into the skin,  giving a matte velvety finish. Some people might not appreciate the fragrance if they cannot even tolerate for few seconds but trust me apart from this I don't think there is anything else that stops you from falling in love with this one. 

The coverage is awesome as you don't need concealer Mostly it cover up mild dark circles and blemishes.  A very little quantity is what you need to cover up your face hence the bottle will surely last long. I have been using this foundation for some time now and this for sure has become one of my favorite and go to foundation. Its an extremely long lasting foundation...Last upto 8 to 9 hours without looking patchy or cakey. Mine is a normal skin and this foundation looks beautiful and gives a seamlessly blended look. Your skin would look great even in pictures.... wow ! now thats one point we all girls want in our foundation. You all will agree with me on this one....  right :)

The formula is great gives a semi matte finish and will work for all skin types including oily skin tone. 30 shades is a wide range to choose from, you can have a patch test done and figure out which shade would suit best for your skin. I can keep going on this , totally in love with it. I would highly recommend this foundation to everyone.  It looks very natural and blended.

If you can tolerate the fragrance for few second then just go for the Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation trust me you wont regret it
