Do we realise how important highlighter is,  in the make up world. When we see all those beautiful actresses with glowing skin, its because of the highlighter. Not all the actresses have clean and clear skin, there are many products in the make up world which helps you to achieve clear flawless skin temporarily. 

Highlighter plays a very important role in achieving that glowing skin. Of course ! having said that its equally important to take care of your skin care regime. 

Heard some really great reviews about Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Highlighter, my little sister picked this up for me.... from Dubai. 

What the brand claims

An ultra-smooth baked formula that provides natural colour with soft matte radiance to the skin for a “bonne mine” healthy glow. Bronze shades gives skin a soft matte finish and a hint of warmth.

Shades Available : Highlight 01 is a gold Nude shade , Bronze -1 is for fair to light skin, Bronze -2 is for light to medium skin tone, Bronze -3 is for medium skin tone, Bronze-4 is for tan to deep skin tone.

Packaging : Comes in a light greyish box with a thin coffee brown cardboard, wrapping the actually product. Once you open the coffee brown cardboard wrap, you will find a glossy coffee brown compact with the baked highlighter housed inside,  in a dome shape. The packaging is simple yet classy.

My Feedback on Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Highlighter 01

Most of the highlighter I have come across has loads of glitter or shine in it, which screams that you have applied a product on your face. Just imagine if you get a product which is quiet light, natural on the skin and gives you a healthy glow,  what more can you ask for.

Inside the compact, it looks like a light peachy dome shape ball but transfers transparent once applied on the face  It does kick up a little dust upon application but does not look chalky or patchy. Smooth in application and non glittery. It gives a skin very luminous youthful glow without being too loud or too much on the face. A little goes a long way, this would last you for a life time. Final Verdict 

Laura Mercier 01 Highlighter is a subtle highlighter... for that healthy youthful glowing skin. A product which has already made its mark in the market and has many fellow bloggers and you tubers raving about it. Overall its a welcome addition to the beauty world.


Another highlighter that I have heard some really great reviews is The Balm Mary-Lou-Manizer" (yup ! thats how it is spelt).  All these products were a challenge to get, since they are not available here in India. The good news is that you can order these from Amazon.in.
