Reminder - About First Anniversary Giveaway

Back from my wonderful vacation and I am all happy and peace at heart. Starting my first day at work after a beautiful vacation with all the positive energy. I will do a post on vacation trip so stay tuned for more details and pictures :)

Ok ! let me explain...... since I was not carrying my laptop, I did few changes in the post from my phone which got backfired,  resulting in typo error. It becomes really difficult to edit on the phone as the cursor keeps jumping. Lesson learned.... never to operate blog from the phone.

After hearing great ravings and all the hype finally decided to pick up the wonder product "TEA TREE OIL" along with the Tea Tree Cool & Cream Wash from THE BODY SHOP few days back.

What it claims 

Targeted care for blemished skin. Can be used direct on skin.

Soothing
Has antibacterial properties
Does not dry out skin

Price : Rs. 695/- for 10ml (which is little pricey) 

My take on this wonder product 

I was excited to purchase this product and see the end result for myself.  First to start with .... if you dont know the technique how to open the bottle then you might just end up getting frustrated. My advice is when you are buying this product take the help of the Sales Rep. and understand how it works to open this bottle. It will save you the time and frustration.

When you apply this on the face, it gives you a tingling sensation and absorbs super quickly. For few days I felt that my skin was looking nice and fresh but then I thought wait !!! is it my mind which is being biased so thought of using it for couple of days before forming any opinion.

Its does not do much for acne and works really slow on blemishes too, its like downloading a file on a very slow internet connections that you loose out on patience and I feel after so many days the blemishes disappear on its own so why do you need a product like this one where it takes ages.  For something so tiny, its pricey. I did not see any prominent wonders on my skin hence I am not going to re-purchase this product again.

My Take on Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash
 
I have a combination skin where my T-zone tends to get oily. This product precisely makes my T-zone even more oily due to which, started getting break outs .  Immediately stopped using this product and went back to my earlier face wash  which is Vichy Normaderm. It might work great on dry skin. It does not feel like you are applying a face wash as it does not lather up, it feels as if you are applying a cream with a wet hand. Once applied on the face, same like Tea Tree Oil, this too,  gives a tingling sensation.

I had high hopes with both the products but unfortunately it did not do much for me.

Moong Masala

Sunday morning breakfast are always different then the routine . You are at home, lazing around and want something which would add to your holiday mood - a good stomach filling breakfast. I like to experiment with different ingredients just to see how the final dish turns out to be. Sometimes its good and sometimes it might be a total disaster, but that's fine....its a learning process.

Last Sunday I happen to make Moong Masala and Parathas for the breakfast. It turned out really yummy and delicious. Lets check out the preparation.

Ingredients: 
Boiled Moong - As per requirement
Pav Bhaji Masala - 1tbsp
Onions - One medium size
Tomatoes - 2 Nos
Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1tsp
Haldi - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Zeera - 1Tbsp
Green Chillies - one small
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
Salt - As per taste
Oil
Sugar - 1/4 tsp

Understanding the Layers of Perfume & Body Burberry Review

Perfumes are such personal things,  certain perfume is liked so much that we call it as our signature perfume and loyally use it for years. Some fragrance reminds you of the fresh  sunny mornings, or the warm cozy winters,  few perfumes,  makes you feel nostalgic (remembering old times). There are times when someone is wearing a captivating perfume and when they happen to pass by, you cant help imagining ... "Oh boy ! what a fragrance .... I too want to have that kind of awesome fragrance on me." (being dreamy)

Why not revisit what makes up a scent, understanding different layers of perfume will help you to choose which is the right scent for you. Are you a floral lover or a citrus fan, woody or fresh fanatic. These are mere synopsis of whats in the bottle. Perfume has layers just like your sponge cake.

Categorized as Top Notes, Heart Notes and Base Notes.

Fist Impression can be misleading : The top notes definitely delivers the first impression of the perfume but it can be misleading as after few seconds the top notes disperse making way for the heart notes to emerge. When a Sales rep. is showing you a perfume remember she sprays it on the paper and after few seconds gives it to you to smell,  as she wants the top notes to dissolve so that you can smell the heart notes.

Heart is where love happens : If the top note is seductress then the heart notes are where you actually fall in love with a fragrance. The heart notes literally blooms on your skin rooting the fragrance with the help of the base notes.

Icing the base : Base notes keeps the fragrance intact for hours, its like a foundation of the perfume. Just like the base of the sponge cake keeps the cake intact the same way base notes helps to maintain the heart notes of the fragrance for a longer time.

OOTD - My Weekend Look (Vol 2)

Got to be honest ...Saturday.... just wanted to be myself, all comfortable and relaxed.  Jeans along with a black T-shirt from Pepe Jeans and  with flats on my feet...... I am ready to go.

This is my go to dressing when I want to feel comfortable or when I am in hurry and dont want to waste much time thinking what to wear.

Be it shopping, meeting friends, grocery shopping,  going for a movie or any causal trip, this outfit will do very well.  I have put two different pictures more or less the same with some few changes here and there.

For my grocery shopping, I teamed up red t-shirt with blue jeans, nude flats on my feet and a sling bag which I picked up from Dubai on my recent visit. Love my sling bag, its quiet handy and easy to move around,  without being too loaded. You can also detached the compartments in this sling if you dont want to carry all the three.

Beauty Wish List

Like every other girl, I am lusting over few products that catches my eye while doing window shopping and then I think one day soon I am going to get my hands on them . It always happen.... Whenever you go shopping, you like more than whats on your list, unfortunately  you dont have that extra budget to buy them :( well ... that's how it is, desire never ends.
