Soft and Silky - Bath and Body Works Body Lotion

It feels extremely refreshing when you are out of shower and the fragrance on you keeps lingering till some time.  I like my body lotions to be with me for some time before the fragrance disappears completely.

A big fan of Bath and Body Works (BBW). Their store is full of amazing product. To my delight, when I visited their store in Dubai, there was an offer going on.  Buy 2 get one free, you can pick any product from their range.

I decided to go with three body lotions. Was looking out for Honeysucke but it was out of stock. Still there were many on the display which looked very promising and their fragrance could transform you to a different world all together.

Picked up Aspen Caramel Woods, Cashmere Glow and Japanese Cherry Blossom. 

Garlic Bread ...No one can eat just one :)

Garlic Bread is one of my favorite. As you put this in mouth you feel like savoring the taste forever :)) .  Few days back I made an attempt to make garlic bread at home and it turned out really nice, so here I am sharing this recipe with all of you so that you too can try making this at home. I am sure kids will love it and so do we.

Ingredients

French Bread Loaf / or any other you wish. 

Mozzarella Cheese 

Garlic paste - 1tsp 

Oregano - 1tsp

Onion finely chopped 

Green chillies 1-2 / Red chilli flakes- 1tsp (either one)

Olive oil - 3-4 tbsp

Pizza Seasoning - 1- 2 tsp

Lip Combo : Maybelline Lipstick And Lakme Lip Liner

Every time I review a lipstick, it makes me realize that I have so many of them and at least for some time , should ban purchasing one.... that.... is a confession of a shopaholic :).  Girls ! have you seen this movie "Confession of a Shopaholic" ??? if not then I recommend do watch it. Its hilarious :)

Today I am going to review a beautiful shade from Maybelline which is staple lipstick in my vanity. I have already exhausted two and this is my third buy. I love it so much !!!. Along with it, to define my lips is a gorgeous shade of Lakme Lip Liner in Brick Rose from their 9 to 5 range.

Cheese Corn Balls

Anything with cheese always tastes deliciously yummy. One such recipe is of Cheese Corn Balls. A vegetarian appetizer which will have your guest asking for more.

Does not take much time but require full dedication. This recipe I tried last Sunday for my evening iftaar (Meaning of Iftaar : the meal eaten by Muslims to break their fast after sunset every day during Ramadan).

Ingredients 
1/2 Cup Corn, Boiled
1/2 Cup Cheese - Mozarella
1/2 Capsicum (finely chopped)
1 Tbsp. Cornflour
2 Tbsp. Maida + Water
2 Slices Of Bread Crumbs
1 Potato, Boiled and mashed
3/4 Tsp. Red Chilli Flakes
Pinch Of Pepper
1 Tsp. Oregano
1/4 Tsp. Garlic Paste (very little quantity required just for adding flavor)
Coriander Leaves - Very little

There is something magical about those kohl rimmed eyes, it immediately draws attention to your face and more precisely to your eyes. I am a kohl addict, if one day I don't apply a khol on my eyes, I feel sick. People tend to come up and ask "am I not keeping well"

Lot of us might be comfortable with liquid liner. Gel liner seems to be like a task in applying but believe me its no rocket science.  Once you get a hang of it, you will love gel liners more than the liquid ones.

Hara Bhara Kebab

Made Hara Bhara Kebab few days back, a very good vegetarian appetizer and is liked by many. Easy to make and tastes scrumptious. 

You can do the whole process of preparing the dough of Hara Bhara Kebab a day prior and refrigerate it.  Fry it and serve hot when required.

Lipsticks really add a life to your face,  every shade for every mood. Feeling romantic - add on a dash of pink , summery - put  little coral or orange-y shade or you are in a mood to be bold,  than what better shade than red. 

While applying a bold red color on your lips, you can either feel too confident or too conscious. Depends on how comfortable are you in carrying bold colors. While some people carry it with ease while others prefer to go with much sober shades. 

Recently I bought two beautiful shades from Loreal. One in the Matte Moist while other is from their  Color Riche Range.  I have a Flaming Kiss from matte moist range which I totally love and had done a detailed review on the blog earlier. 

Fashion Haul - VERO MODA / AND / ESBEDA / JULIET / ADD ONS

Shopping is fun especially when there isn’t any agenda and you are on a window shopping spree. Today’s write up is on my latest spoils of fashion world - from the likes of VERO MODA, AND, ESBEDA, JULIET and ADD ONS Accessories. 

Do you recollect my last shopping haul where I picked up a orange color maxi style dress from Global Desi (GD) and had reported a hole in the maxi, well ! the next day I took the outfit  to the GD store and brought the issue to their notice. After the inspection of the current one they decided to replace it with a fresh one. I was told, this would take time as all the stock of the same range has been sold out and they had to call it from the other store. "Ok ! Noted I will wait" was my pat reply. 

Finally ! I get a call from GD to pick the fresh dress which was called from the other store and was the only piece left.  To my horror , that dress too had a hole in it. Gawd !!!  not again ! 

The GD staff was courteous enough to give me a credit note and I could shop from either GD or AND. I was relieved to hear that as I had not faced such a situation any time before.  A word of advice to all of you there, when you are shopping please recheck before billing to avoid such kind of inconvenience. Specially in apparels, be it from any high or low end brand.

Chicken Pasta in Arabiatta Sauce

Pasta is one of my favorite and I keep making it in different styles. Few times my experiments do tend to boomerang but there are times where it turns out to be tasty and yummy. 

Today I am going to share with you the recipe of Chicken Pasta in Arabiatta Sauce. If you are vegetarian than you can skip adding chicken and supplement it with some other veggies that you desire (capsicum corn and so on) . 

In arabiatta sauce penne pasta is used, since I did not had penne pasta on hand,  used Fussili as a substitute . Arabiatta Pasta is made without adding any veggies just a good amount of tangy flavor sauce but since this is my version I get to do what I feel like :))

Fried Chicken Balls with Hot Garlic Sauce

Appetizer are my favorite, I can keep munching on it and skip the main course if the need be. Last weekend I tried making Fried Chicken Balls with  Hot Garlic Sauce. Easy to make and tastes yum. 

Appetizers are hit with the guest. If you are looking out for a recipe to keep your guest entertained for a night party then this recipe is a must try.

Chole Masala

Chole is one dish which has a special place in every Indians heart. When you ask your mom causally...."Mom whats there for dinner" ? and in reply when your mom say " its Chole", a smile starts spreading on your lips and all of a sudden you feel hungry and all ready for dinner. That's the effect of Chole on Indian hearts.

Lets check out the recipe of Chole that I tried last weekend.

Ingredients  - Serving -  2-3 people

Chick peas / Chole - 1-1/2 cup
Onion - 1 - 2 finely chopped
Tomatoes - 2nos
Ginger - Garlic Paste - 1.1/2 tsp
Bay Leaves - 2 nos
Red Chilli Powder - 1tsp
Tumeric powder -  1/2 tsp
Corriander powder - 1tsp
Pinch or two - Asafoetida
Roasted Cumin Powder - 1tsp
Dry Mango Powder  - 1tsp
Garam Masala - 1tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1tsp
Lemon Juice 




Method 

Soak the  chick peas overnight and boil it. You can either boil the chole first and then prepare the masala or you can prepare the masala first then add chole and pressure cook till  6-7 whistles.

Simple Day Look

This will be my last make up look for this month, as mentioned in my earlier post, I am taking a forced break from make up looks due to Ramadan.

Moving on lets talk about today's make up look which is simple and can be worn during a day time.  Day make up looks are kept to minimal make up, that does not mean you cannot do a smokey eye. A sober and subtle smokey eyes can go very well during day time.

This is a casual look and can be carried to the office or any local coffee shop if you are catching up with friends.

A very thin eye liner has been applied on the upper lid and no false lashes are used for this look. In fact this look is pretty simple, easy and can be achieved in no time.
