My Skin Care Routine

Hello Everyone,

I have been thinking to do the skin care routine post since long, but then it use to always go on a back burner due to various reasons. So finally I decided that against all odds I have to do this post today. So here I am with my current skin care products which I can't do without.

Let me tell you guys, skin care routine is very important to keep your skin fresh, hydrated clean and young. We invest so much in make-up product just to look good but believe me, if you have a healthy looking skin anything would look good. Few products are like holy grail to me which I religiously use.

Victoria Secret Perfumes : Angel Gold and Angel Dream Review

Hello Everybody,

Hope you guys are doing good,  for me life is going pretty cool. Yesterday,  I happen to watch this movie of Salman Khan " Jai Ho".  I have a mix feeling about this movie, some moments you will enjoy and in some places it  feels like a drag, though the concept is good.  Overall its a one time watch.

Coming to today's post, I am going to review two different perfumes from the brand Victoria Secret.
1) Victoria Secret Angel Gold
2) Victoria Secret Angel Dream

Quiet confusing names right ... don't get confused here, as Victoria Secret also has a perfume called Dream Angels which is a different fragrance compared to Angel Dreams.   Dream Angel.... Angel Dream..... Gosh ! why cant they try something less confusing. VS please take a note! 

Cat Eye Make -up Look

Hello Everybody,

Hope you all had a great time over the weekend, mine was very hectic.   Finally ! Renovation is over,  everything is in place at home and life is back to normal :)

I tried this amazing Cat Eye Make up Look over the weekend.  This is the first time I tried this look and made loads of mistakes.  Its only after few corrections here and there,  that I could manage to get the desired result. Lots of people find it difficult to get the wing right, and I was no exception.

If I have to create the same look again,  it won't be so difficult as I believe in the saying "Practice makes the man perfect". After lot of efforts and time put in,  I am glad that it really turned out well and I hope you guys will agree with me.

Lucknowi Kurtis

Today's post is all about traditional Lucknowi Kurtis,  I am a big fan of Lucknowi Kurtis. They look very graceful, elegant and comfortable in wearing.

Lets take a peek in history

Lucknowi kurtis are also called as Chikankari, Chikan (means embroidery)  is a traditional embroidery style from Lucknow. This word is believed to be introduced by Nur Jehan, Mughal Emperor Jehangir's wife. Its one of the most famous textile decoration style from Lucknow.

The trend started during the time of Mughals and developed quickly. Lucknow grew into an international market for its renowned Chikankari work.

Back to present

There were times when Chikankari work was done only on cotton and muslin cloth, with changing times they have incorporated various different fabric from silk to crepe material. I usually pick up my Lucknowi Kurtis from Santacruz from one particular shop since ages.

Recently when I visited the shop I was surprised with the trendy collection. There were short kurtis to wear it on jeans in different colors, fabric  and design among other trendy long kurtis in different looks. I picked up three kurtis, one in crepe, one in cotton silk mix and the third one in cotton. There were many that I wanted to pick up but then I finally zeroed down to three.

New Look - Yellow Blue and Pink

Hope the week so far has been progressing well for all of you, mine is going pretty cool and peaceful.

Over the last weekend, to be precise on Sunday, when I was stepping out for dinner, thought of trying a very colorful look. Experimented with bright yellow, blue and pink.... yes I know its quiet colorful but loved the final look.


To my surprise, it did turned out really well and for which I got loads of compliments too. The pictures are taken at night, could not capture the colors so well. I should really thank my better half for being so patient with me and for doing his best in getting whatever best shot he could.

Winter Sale Shopping - Trend Alert !

I am loving the winter season  in Mumbai. Its fun to shop for winter collection especially when you get to enjoy the winter season. Just imagine the chill in the wind and you are sitting in a coffee shop with warm clothes and sipping a hot coffee. Hmmmmmm... love it !!!


Today's post is about the " Sale Sale Sale" everywhere, how can we resist the temptation if we see in such big bold letters " SALE". I am sure you would agree with me (Winking!). 

Few days back, visited Hill Road at Bandra and did some window shopping. I picked up a nice kurti with collar, a top and a T-shirt. I liked the kurti as it was different than the normal ones that you get. The top is in transparent black material with print on it and a hot red Tommy Hilfiger T-shirt. (check the pictures below)

Love reading historic fictions and I find Egypt's history quiet fascinating. I have read Wilbur Smiths Warlock at least twice and both the time, have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Best Products of 2013...

I have come across many beauty products in 2013, few of them loved it  and others I did not like much  . There were many that I wanted to list down but then this post would be quiet a lengthy one. I have short listed few very good ones that I plan to stick around in 2014 as well.

Lets walk thru and see which products were really great in the year 2013....

Green and Purple Eye Make Up

When  I thought about doing a weekend look,  had some specific colors in mind which I wanted to try out and see how it looks. I really love the combination of Green and Purple,  Amber and Purple too looks great. (Maybe next time)

Thought of using a moderate green (not too dark neither too light) and bright purple color for this look. Its a nice look to wear for any occasion in the evening or at night. Add shimmer to this look to make your eyes more pop out. You can add more depth to this look by adding black eye shadow at the corner (over lapping the purple eye shadow) and blending it into the crease area.

December Empties

Today I am going to review all the empties that I have exhausted in the month of December 2013.

1) Lakme Sunscreen - It comes with SPF 50 and gives a good coverage in protecting the skin from harsh sun rays, been using this for quiet some time now and I am quiet happy with it. Suits my skin and does not make it greasy. Would re-purchase this again

2) TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo - This is become one of my favorite shampoo. My hair-fall has been reduced and my hair feels soft. It's reasonable priced.  Already purchased one since the current one i am using got exhausted.

Victoria Secret Perfume - Bombshell

Hello friends.... 2014 beginning of a new year, I pray will be nice for all of us. Started this blog in April 2013 it's almost 10 months now. When I started I was all alone and now I have so many wonderful friends and  readers as a part of this blog. I thank you all for being part of this blog and being so supportive.

My birthday gift .....

I have been lusting after this perfume since the time I first experienced it. So when I went to pick up my fresh perfume collection this was my first target.  My Luck ! it was out of stock, with a sad smile and small heart I picked up other perfumes from other brands but my heart just got stuck to "BOMBSHELL" and I thought next time I must have this one in my collection.

To my surprise..... I got this as my birthday gift and yes I was jumping like a kid all over :). This perfume is just way too sexy, wear it on a night out party or just a romantic evening. The fragrance keeps you mesmerized. This is an award winning perfume from the house of Victoria Secrets, as the name goes it sure is a Bombshell.
