Chambor Extreme Matte Long Wear Lipstick - Vamp it up !!!

Dark lipsticks are back into fashion, remember actress Rekha and her hot lips. I have never seen her wearing any lighter shades in lipsticks. It looks good on her and she carries it,  with a class and style. 

Today I am going to review Chambor Extreme Matte Long Wear Lipstick, shade 06 Earthy Red.  Had purchased this,  couple of days back but seriously with hectic schedule at my end just did not get around to review it. Better late then never :)) 

 

Dark shades make your lips stand out, to me it looks sexy and stylish.  Some shades are never out of fashion, they are classic and evergreen. All you need to do is, carry it with confidence.

Kiehl's : Three Products That I Purchased

I know the blog space is little slow but am really tied up with loads of things at my end. Which includes shopping, wedding preparations, make up trials and what not. So kindly bear with me.

Coming to my second post , would like to share with you the three products that I purchased from Kiehls. Those three product in which I have put my faith into and believed,  that they would do wonders for my skin. 

We all go through skin problems at certain points, be it pimples, dry skin, pores, fine lines and so on. There are different products for different concerns. Lets be clear here, there is no one product which does the miracle and solve all your skin problems.

As doctors treat you with different medicines for your sickness the same applies to your skin too. My skin concerns were my pores and fine lines. These were the products that I thought would be good to invest .

Things that make me happy :)

Being a woman in today's day and age makes a ton of things to worry about.  So today, I thought to write a post little different then our usual ones.  We all have good and bad days, there are times that we tend to be depressed and low and there are times when we are in the best of  spirits. 

So today's post is more about, things that make me happy in life even when I am feeling very low and depressed. There are times when your near and dear ones  tend to hurt you, though it might not be intentionally.  Otherwise I don't much care about the outsiders who means nothing to me, take it with a pinch of salt and forget it. Maybe just for time being, might give it a thought but that's all about it. 

Worry is a rocking chair which takes you no where, how true is that saying. So when I am depressed over something I just don't want to sit there and keep thinking and sulking over it. The best way,  I try to do things that make me happy and remove me out of the gloom. 

We all have different ways to tackle our mood swings. This is what I do when I not in my best of moods.  

Kiehl's : Introduction of the Products & My Current Skin Care Regime

There are so many brands in the market which advertise about themselves and get popular. There is one such brand who does not believe in marketing themselves but creates trust among their consumers and get known through word of mouth.

As they believe their products and the end results speaks for them. A happy customer will always have praises about the product and the brand. Of course ! don't forget they are the first one to recommend, but that's obvious.

When you come across something good, you would want your siblings, your friends, colleagues and whom ever you come across to know about it. Trust me ! womens can be lot convincing when they want to sell something :) and what better advertisment then making a women happy and you would know by now half the world knows about it :)) 

Got inspired by Fiona from Peaches and Corals and when I came across Kiehls store @ In-orbit Mall, could not resist myself. The SA was very attentive and patient enough in explaining me all about the products and told me what I should be going for,  as per my skin concerns. 

Bought three full size product, to which I got four samples to complete my skin care regime as insisted by the SA. If I see a progress in my skin or if I happen to like the products then I can go for a full size product, which sounds convincing to me. 

I will break this into four post to cover up each product.  So the first post is more like introduction about all the products that I got from Kiehl's. The second one is about the three products that I purchased, the third  will be focusing on the samples that I got with my purchases and the fourth will be a last post about my skin care regime using these products.

This will help me to keep each post short and sweet. Also will be able to explain you better and give accurate insight about each product, if that makes any sense.  Have been using these products for more then ten days now, what are the pros and cons and how effective are these product , you will get to know in my following post where I will be covering my skin care regime.

So shall we see what I bought from Kiehls store. There's a whole lot of products that I have invested in and this is my current skin care regime.

Classic Bronze Look

This is my go to Classic Bronze Look. Easy to achieve and does not take much of a time.  Usually go for this look when I am in a hurry and don't have much time for experiments. 

Bronze look goes much on everything and can be carried out for any outings. Seriously.....thinking to incorporate this look for myself, on one of the occasion for my sister's marriage. I wont be having much time and this look will be easy to achieve and more over would be perfect on my saree. 

False lashes are a must for this look, as it adds more depth and dimension. Since this is not very intense look, took the liberty of going little loud with my lipstick.  If you add dark maroon lipstick on this look, it will be more like Deepika Padukne Look. She very often supports this kind of look as it goes really well on Asian skin tone.

Those of you who's been asking me to do FOTD using Laura Mercier Matte Baked Radiance Highlighter, than here it is. In this make up look,  have used Laura Mercier  Highlighter and I feel its one of the best highlighter I have come across, just be little light handed in picking up the product.  Too little is too much here :) . Purva this note is specially for you sweetheart :)

Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel - For Acne Prone Skin

This is one product,  have been using for more than 2 years now. Surprisingly ! never got around to review it.  How could I have missed it. Gosh ! sometimes I can be too lazy or too ignorant about so many things around me. 

If you are tired expirimenting with face wash which makes your skin oily after certain time or dry,  just after you have washed your face..... then  relax. I too faced the same problems few years back. Used to get lot frustrated, especially when it did not serve my purpose and I had to let the product go waste.

Finally I came across Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel. It did suit my skin very well and helped me to keep acne and oil at bay without wiping me out of moisture. Till date I am hooked onto it :)

Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Highlighter

Do we realise how important highlighter is,  in the make up world. When we see all those beautiful actresses with glowing skin, its because of the highlighter. Not all the actresses have clean and clear skin, there are many products in the make up world which helps you to achieve clear flawless skin temporarily. 

Highlighter plays a very important role in achieving that glowing skin. Of course ! having said that its equally important to take care of your skin care regime. 

Heard some really great reviews about Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Highlighter, my little sister picked this up for me.... from Dubai. 

What the brand claims

You Never Know When You Will Get Lucky

"You Never Know When You Will Get Lucky" by Priya Narendra. This book was gifted to me by my sweet colleague Susan, along with "Not Without My Daughter" (which I have already reviewed on the blog earlier). 

Carried the book with me while travelling to Goa. Not such a huge fan of Indian authors, maybe in the past I made some real bad choices in picking up Indian Author book, which has really put me off them. This happened with me  couple of times and  hence take my own sweet time in picking up a book of my choice.

If I don't like a book, it keeps lying half read in my cupboard or drawer. Very often, take a real good time in selecting a book ... can spend hours in a book shop just browsing, I guess that's just me :))

Since this was gifted to me, thought no harm in reading it. Oh ! yes let me mention here, this book.... sure changes my perception towards the Indian Authors. 

If you are looking out for something light to read without being too heavy on your mind than I recommend you should read this book.  It's fun and at some places it's hilarious. There are many moments in the book that would bring a smile on your face. 

Cut Crease Gold Glitter Look

Hello all my beauties ! 

With all the wedding preparations taking place at my end, puts me in a mood to try something which suits the occasion. Weddings would look incomplete if there is no bling or glitter. It just adds to the whole mood and makes it look more glamorous.

Are you wondering where are all the wedding trials that I promised :) then relax.  My little sister requested me not to post wedding trials as she wants to maintain the surprise element. I would sure post it after the wedding and share with you guys all the trials that we went through.  

In this hectic schedule its been little difficult to follow any particular schedule or routine. So this post is just out of the blue and very spontaneous. 

When I picked up my brush to create a look, this is what I came up with.  Hope all the lovely ladies out there like this look.

This one is apt for occasions like wedding or engagement . It's a heavy look,  loaded with glitter and pop of colours to set you apart from the crowd. The intensity of the colour is much more in person then what you see in pictures.
